I was born in Glasgow in 1967. Having studied at the Glasgow School of Art and Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London , I graduated with an Honours Degree in 1990.
I worked for the Royal National Theatre in London and at the Edinburgh Festival, but gave up the theatre to concentrate on painting. My home is in Scotland where I constantly travel all over. Scotland is a huge inspiration to me – the ever changing dramatic skies, its storm clouds and in moments hints of blue sky and sunbeams, the unpredictabe colour, light and ever-shifting moods.
Having travelled throughout North America and The Far East, I have come to realise that the light and beauty in Scottish skies made them amongst the most beautiful in the world.
I work in oil, mixed media and watercolour, have had successful solo and joint exhibtions in London, Glasgow and at the Pittenweem Arts Festival, while my work can be seen in galleries throughout Scotland and England. I also have commissioned work exhibited throughout the UK.
Giclée Prints of my work are also available.
